Replacing the Fence

The yard fencing was tired and needed replacing.  Time for Graham to work his magic.  His vision... log posts and a new shape to the yard.

After drawing up plans, Graham ordered the supplies, and hired Tony Ingram to dig the post holes (as we live in limestone country) and bring fresh soil for the new orchard area.

He put the new fence wire up in sections, leaving the old fence up while he placed the posts

and then took the old fence down after the new wire was strung.

Once the fence was done, it was time to start of the orchard

Building up retaining walls for the new mini orchard
and then filling it with new soil.

Adding branches for a decorative wind break, which the birds love!

Then added some trees

Rember before...

He brought in more road surface to tidy up the area around the water tanks

Transforming this...

By creating a path around the the permimiter.

And making a natural garden around the tanks

The path follows the new footprint witht the tanks outside

And a smooth path for a stroll, or running race for the grandkids,

which also enhances our fire break zone.

Here are some before and afterers...

We've gone from bush

To orchard, with our water wants outside for easy access
